A pink wave of solidarity in Colovray
On Sunday, October 5th, the Colovray stadium pulsed with shared spirit, hope, and collective strength during the second edition of our Pink October Solidarity Run. Organized by the Breast Centres of Clinique de Genolier and Clinique Générale-Beaulieu, Geneva, this annual event brought a vibrant community together around a common goal: “Wear Pink – Run for the Cause.”
Far from being a simple race, this gathering transformed into a powerful surge of goodwill. More than just a sporty afternoon, it was a visible commitment to a cause that affects us all. The track turned pink to symbolize the region’s unwavering dedication to individuals facing breast cancer.
Unity is strength: life-changing figures
The enthusiasm and determination of the participants exceeded all expectations:
- Over 3,300 laps were collectively completed.
- A record amount of CHF 20,000 was raised exclusively for the Genolier Foundation.
Beyond these impressive figures, it was the energy deployed by every runner, walker, and donor that illuminated the day. As we express at the Foundation, everyone contributed to changing lives.
The concrete impact of your generosity
The entirety of the funds raised is directly allocated to the Genolier Foundation to finance targeted treatments and essential support programs for women affected by breast cancer, who are followed in Swiss Medical Network facilities.
These funds specifically enable the financing of:
- Access to complementary treatments and therapies not covered by insurance.
- The purchase of auxiliary aids or specific equipment.
- Individual coaching to promote professional and social reintegration after illness.
Every franc raised ensures that these patients receive the best possible care, including the essential holistic support needed to regain confidence and autonomy.
