Moved by this catastrophe, Genolier Foundation organized a fundraising campaign at Swiss Medical Network sites, promising that every donation received would be doubled. In the end, the CHF 10,457.65 raised was not only doubled, but also rounded up to CHF 25,000!
For each of the projects we support, we make sure that the help reaches the right place. Fortunately, one of our orthopedic specialists, who has been working in a Swiss Medical Network clinic for a long time, managed to establish close contact with a doctor at a Syrian hospital in the devastated region. Thanks to this reliable local contact, the donations received were used to purchase emergency medical equipment, enabling this hospital to reopen one of its operating theatres!
